Two Months, Too Soon, Eloise Kate (5.27.19)

“Love is the answer, at least for most of the questions in my heart, like why are we here? And where do we go?  And how come it’s so hard? It’s not always easy, and sometimes life can be deceiving.  I’ll tell you one thing, it’s always better when we’re together.”           -Jack Johnson, Better Together

HOW?  How are you already two months?  How have you changed so drastically in ONLY a month?  How did we ever have a normal day without you in it?  You, sweet, sweet girl have seamlessly fit right in to our family, and quite frankly, I’m not ready for you to already be two months old!  With all of the craziness we shared together in month one, I feel like we’ve been making up for “lost time” in a sense, and two months has gotten here too, too fast!  But, that is how time works, and since you will continue to grow into the smart, sweet, special, and strong little girl I know you will become, I’m going to soak up these months as they come!

This month you weighed in at 10 pounds, 12 ounces, and were 23.5 inches long!  You’re growing so tall, so fast! I still find it incredibly funny that both you and Annabelle Grace are both growing so long, when neither your Daddy nor I are tall people, at all! Either you’re both going to be super tall, or you’ll slow down a lot at some point!  Because you’re growing so much, you are comfortably wearing 0-3 months clothes, and can even wear 3-6 month pants!

We are continuing to do lots of tummy time, though you aren’t a huge fan of it….  Annabelle Grace really likes to help you with tummy time, and brings you lots of friends, like baby Nah Nah to participate with you.  It doesn’t seem to make it any more enjoyable for you though!

I also took you on your first trip to Southaven (1.5 hours away) with me and Annabelle Grace!  We did have to stop on the way to nurse once, and you had one little meltdown after lunch, before heading to Target, but otherwise, you did great! It was also the first “long” trip the three of us have done together, at all!  I wanted to see how it would go, and you both surprised me!

You and your sister have some of the sweetest moments together! She is truly loving you more by the day, and I’m pretty sure she thinks you’re her baby doll! She likes for me to lay you in her bed, and she wishes I would leave you both there, as she always says “bye!” Once I put you beside her!

We have taken you to our favorite Mexican restaurant, Patio, and you’ll soon realize how much we love going here! We celebrated Mommy’s, Daddy’s, and Annabelle Grace’s birthday here, so I’m sure your birthday will be here too!

This second month, you have had the chance to hang out with or meet so many different people! You’ve had lots of time with MommyAnn.

You got to see Aunt Kitty again!

You got to see DeeCee and Papi, and you met Sarah, Buddy, and Jeff!

You got to meet SueSue, Nana, and your cousin, Ava!

Daddy and I took you to the Memphis Zoo for the first time for Mother’s Day weekend, and I had a little extra snuggle time with you!

You’ve done tummy time with Daddy and he’s attempted to give you a bottle!

I’ve dressed you and Annabelle Grace up, and of course, taken countless pictures to mark any and all occasions!

You officially smiled this month, and as you can see by your pictures, it is an absolutely adorable smile!  You did an AMAZING job with your two month shots, and are sleeping through the night! (From like 7pm- 5am!  I dream feed you around 10pm!)

Happy Two Months sweet, sweet girl!
